Kings Music Association

Congratulations to our very own Jake Cornett!

Jake was the winner of a $1,000.00 Winter Guard International Scholarship at the guard’s National Finals April 12-14 in Dayton, Oh. Every guard that competes in the National competition is able to submit a scholarship application from one senior in their group. WGI has a committee of 9 members who reads through all the scholarships and decide the winners. As an example of what a daunting task this is and to help explain how special Jake’s win is take this into consideration: there were 105 Scholastic A guards from all over the country at WGI this year. This is the class Kings competes in! Jake will be attending Ohio State University in the fall and this scholarship will help him pay for his expenses.  Congratulations Jake! Kings is proud of you!
